Why people leave Acuity
- Price for one person. $16 a month at the lowest, with no free plan. Text reminders need $27, and removing the logo needs $55 (pricing).
- Bugs and support. Users in an r/squarespace thread call it "a hot mess for scheduling classes" and say support "is basically worthless at this point". These are single opinions, and we did not test them.
- Your brand. The booking page cannot use your own domain. You can only embed it.

Square: Square users
Free for solo use, and the table uses Plus from 3 users. Plus is $49 and Premium $149 a month per location, with processing fees on top (pricing).
For classes or rooms, other lists also name Bookeo and Vagaro. We did not check their prices, so they are not in the table.
Common questions
Why is Acuity so expensive?
For one person, there is no free plan and useful features sit on higher plans. For a team it is not expensive: $27 a month covers 6 calendars, while 6 users on Calendly Teams pay $96.
What is better, Square or Acuity?
Square suits you if you already take in-person payments with Square. Acuity lists packages, memberships, gift certificates and intake forms, so check that Square has what you sell.
Which is better, Calendly or Acuity?
Calendly for meetings, Acuity for selling appointments. See the full comparison.
Who bought Acuity Scheduling?
Squarespace owns it. Some users feel the product gets less attention now. We cannot measure that.
How do I move my clients out of Acuity?
We did not test an export. Check the export options before you cancel, and keep the account until booked appointments are done. Packages and gift certificate balances may not move.
